Michelle Albanese is a sustainability and procurement expert with over 25 years of experience working with private and publicly traded companies, governments, and non-profits to advance sustainability practices.
She brings more than a decade of specialized experience in responsible procurement and has led the development of sustainable procurement strategies across sectors.
Formerly the Head of Responsible Sourcing and Supplier Diversity at a major North American bank, Michelle has deep expertise in designing and implementing sustainable procurement programs—including net-zero supply chain strategies, human rights due diligence, and inclusive supplier diversity initiatives. Her consulting work has supported clients in engaging suppliers to meet Scope 3 emissions targets and strengthen human rights practices across supply chains.
Beyond procurement, Michelle has advised clients on a wide range of sustainability and ESG topics, including sustainability and climate reporting (e.g., SCA, TCFD, SASB, CDP), materiality assessments, ISS evaluations, and ESG governance gap analyses.
Michelle is also a part-time Professor at Seneca Polytechnic College, where she teaches Supply Chain Sustainability and mentors the next generation of sustainable business professionals.
